Taqueria Del Barrio is the Mexican concept from the owners of DC Empanadas; Chef Anna Bran-Leis and Shawn Leis. Our menu features many authentic Mexican recipes as well as some modern takes on classic Latin American dishes. Everything is made daily, from scratch including our hand made corn tortillas. Our bar menu was crafted by Bar Manager Chris Martino and features a wide array of classic and signature cocktails including the Del Barrio made from Silencio Mezcal, Caramelized Pineapple and Habañero-Turmeric Syrup. Our wine list was curated by Wines By Raz with an emphasis on Latin and Spanish wines as well as a Champagne list hand-picked by Anna herself.
The decor, designed by Sucha Khamsuwan, evokes rural Taquerias by blending natural elements like wood, rope, concrete juxtaposed with modern flairs like Mexican tiles and hand painted murals by artist Matthew McMullen.
